Catching up with T-Funk

We just wrapped up filming our latest DC Shoes video #THEDCPROMO. While you wait for the footage and its final touches to get released from our editing room, we’re here to give you some details on one of its featured skateboarders – T-Funk. In case you're unfamiliar, Tristan Funkhouser joined the DC Skate Team as a global am in 2014 and has been tearing up the streets with his skateboarding style ever since. Photos: Blabac
Q: How’d you get started skateboarding?
T: I saw some skaters when I was at baseball practice – I told my pops I wanted to do that instead so he got me a board for my birthday.
Q: What’s your favorite DC Shoe to skate in?
T: I like to skate the Evan Smith shoes cause they’re comfy as s***t.
T-Funk throws down more madness, Sugarcane.
T: Coolest part about filming for the video was definitely just getting to skate with the boys!
Q: What’s something most people might not know about you?
T: Most people might not know that me and Zack Allen are in a punk band.
