GO SKATEBOARDING DAY RECAP: SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA

If you skateboard and live in the general vicinity of San diego, CA, chances are you were one of the 300 or so kids at Chicano park yesterday celebrating GSD alongside DC riders Wes Kremer, Danny Way, Alexis Ramirez, Carlos Henrique, and Jagger Eaton to name just a few. We gave out over 50 pairs of shoes, countless hats and t shirts, and had Hodad’s burgers out to feed over 150 local skaters. Following our skate Jam, we moved over to Iron fist brewery where we hosted a raffle that raised over $1200 for upgrades on Washington street skatepark which DC matched. We closed out the evening with a premiere of the DC x SK8MAFIA video featuring Wes Kremer and Alexis Ramirez skating spots all over SD, which will be dropping on Thrasher June 30th.  Special thanks to Sk8mafia, Pacific drive, and other supporting sponsors Hodad’s, Chrome Digital, LARB, and Iron fist brewery for supporting the events. Were stoked to see that skateboarding is alive and well in SD!
