INSPIRATION
“Everyone has got to realize you can't hold onto the past if you want any future. Each second should lead to the next one.” - Joe Strummer

On the day I write these few words, January 20th, 2021, we have a new hope and watched an exit of a bully that pushed for holding on to the past (look where that put us). I have always related to that Strummer quote and have taken so much inspiration in life from the words of Joe. I used that ongoing inspiration when I painted these shoes you see here.

I was late in the art game. Growing up in skateboarding and punk rock, the words of Strummer have always pushed me to move forward. It wasn’t about raw talent. It's about hard work and heart! Anything is possible. Our country needs a little more Joe Strummer right now! I'm truly honored to be a part of this DC project.
