BIO

I am an independent artist working in drawing, painting, video and sound. My work flows and loops through the themes of nature, science, sense of place, my inner self, outer space -- and the ways in which all of these things are interdependent. By sharing my art and telling these stories, my intention is to inspire wonder, exploration, connection and collaboration.

INSPIRATION

I chose to cover this pair of shoes in organic fruits and veggies because I understand that access and affordability to buy and grow healthy food is the cornerstone of healthier lives. I've created a practice of weekly tithing to learn about, share about and act on this knowledge. Each Sunday, after shopping at the farmers market in my neighborhood, I research and divert a portion of my food budget to an organization that supports marginalized/underserved communities, such as Equitable Giving Circle in PDX, SÜPRMARKT in LA, and The Okra Project which aims to provide resources and meals to Black Trans people worldwide.
